Plants vs. Zombies 2 continues the beloved tower defense adventure across six wildly different time periods — from Ancient Egypt to Far Future. Command an ever-growing roster of over 150 unique plants, each with special abilities and seed packet power-ups. Face thousands of zombie types, vanquish massive Zombie Bosses, and compete in weekly Arena battles against other players. An Arena ranking system and frequent content updates ensure no two weeks feel the same.

PvZ2 has evolved substantially since launch and is now genuinely one of the best tower defence games on mobile. The variety of plants — each with distinct personalities and tactical roles — makes deck-building deeply strategic. The time-period level design is creative, introducing environmental hazards that force fresh tactical approaches. While plant levelling via seeds feels slightly pay-to-win in the Arena mode, the base campaign content is very generous for free players.

Position Sun Flowers in the back rows for income generation, Peashooters and Melon-Pults in middle lanes for consistent damage, and Spikeweed or Snow Peas near the front to slow and damage advancing zombies. Save Plant Food for overwhelmed lanes rather than using it proactively. Study which zombies appear in each wave through the wave preview, then counter-build your plant selection before the battle starts.
